I loved this— there were some minor things that didn’t land for me but this is certainly one of the greatest classics I’ve read and my rating will probably improve with time

I don't read a lot of plays, but I really enjoyed this way. It is really intense and emotional and sad, but also really funny! Funny in that dark way, in that self-reflective way. Walter pissed me off, and as a black woman, it was interesting and all too real to read into the race and gender politics at play between him and the women in his life, Mama, Ruth, and Beneatha.
