Sweet Addiction by J. Daniels is the first book in the Sweet Addiction series. Dylan and Reese hook up at a wedding and can't get each other out of their heads. They decide to give in to their desires but want to keep it casual. But over time, they realize that there might be more than physical attraction.

So, I have had this book on my e-reader for 10 years and finally came around to read it. I was not sure what to expect from this book as I had different reading preferences ten years ago. But I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I enjoyed the plot and the characters were great. I fell deeply in love with Joey. He is just the bestest friend one can have. All characters are quite sex obsessed, which shows in the spicy scenes throughout the book. They were quite spicy!

I wanted to give this book a solid 4 stars rating, but in the end I couldn't. Dylan and Reese are really jealous. They are both possessive and don't want someone else touching their loved one. Reese even complained about a dress Dylan was wearing, which annoyed me. Towards the end, there was a lot of miscommunication, which is a trope I don't like anymore. But my biggest problem was the physical abuse. Dylan slapped Reese four times (if I counted correctly). This is not sexy. This is abuse. These are the reasons why I couldn't give the book a 4 stars rating.

All in all, I liked the book. It was spicy and romantic, but the main couple annoyed me at times. It's a good light read.

This is a personal read and I simply have an emotional connection to it, but in all honesty the book is like a 3.5
