First of all, I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book. I am voluntarily leaving this review and all the opinions are my own. That out the way, I really enjoyed this book. I've read my fair share of fantasy and paranormal books but this was definitely new take that I hadn't read before. I liked how story didn't focus on one main character, we got to see how each different person thinks and develops throughout the story.

I gave this book 4 of out 5 stars, only because the beginning was a tad hard for me to get into...there was a lot of set up and world building that needed to occur. But I had a hard time staying focused at first. Once the story picked up I had to keep reading to find out what happens next.

The ending broke my heart. Adriadne - WHEN I SAY MY JAW DROPPED. My mouth fell open, I dropped the tablet I was reading on. Literally could not believe that ending. And at the same time, I felt like I should have known it was coming…

The little things about this book did it for me: The gender neutral names, Alec and Bri's relationship, how no one character is truly the hero or villain...Looking forward to more!
