3.7 stars. Gue suka problemnya yang lumayan kompleks ngga cuma membahas masalah utama tentang Lou dan Morgane, tapi juga the love journey between Lou and Reid yang sangat fluktuatif. Dari lou yg kerasukan Nicolina, terus si Reid amnesia, they always find a way back to each other

Honestly I was about to cry at the end. Ansel is so cute and how he finally found peace was so sad and beautiful.

I enjoyed the book but it was definitely a bit boring in both the end and the middle. It started to get interesting when Reid lost his memories. + I though there were to many obstacles for the main couple. First Lou is possessed. Then when she is freed Reid sacrifices himself and falls in a slumber. When he finally wake up he has forgetter everything about her🙄

But overall a good book 👍

DNF at 27%

I just couldn't do it.
I read the first book through a physical copy, and I loved it. I then listened to Blood and Honey and Gods and Monsters through audiobook, and I don't know WHAT changed, but I just cant stand it. Maybe, if I'm brave enough, I'll get physical copies of those two and see if it's just an issue with the audiobooks? But tbh I don't think it is
Serpent and Dove was amazing, to me. I loved the characters, I loved the banter, the romance, the action, the lore - all of it.
Blood and Honey kinda ruined it for me - it was just too long of a book where the only plot was traveling different places and miscommunication between Lou and Reid.
Gods and Monsters just couldn't hook me back, I'm sorry. It was better than Blood and Honey, I can tell even if I didn't finish it - I enjoyed the Nicholina subplot the most, with all the imagery of light and dark. It just wasn't enough for it to not feel like a chore to listen to it.
I think one day I'll maybe pick these up from the library so I don't waste money if my review doesn't change.
I was WOWED by the first book, and then all the rest was only relationship problems, traveling, and confusing backstories.
What do you mean Serpent and Dove isn't a standalone? I'll be reading it that way from this point on!

Final de trilogía. Buen final aunque mi preferido es el primer libro. Se me hizo un poco pesado el hecho de que siempre había inconvenientes en la relación de Lou y Reid, pero me gusto como avanzó algunas relaciones.

Comencé este libro con expectativas muy altas. El primero fue muy bueno, el segundo terrible. No busqué reseñas ni nada para no sugestionarse, pero iba con la esperanza de que la autora se redimiera del fiasco que había sido el segundo libro. Definitivamente la saga podría haber sido una bilogía sin problemas.

El libro me gustó, el ritmo es fenomenal, mucho mejor que el segundo, y no me dejó soltarlo desde que comencé. Eso fue primordialmente lo que me gustó del primero, que me hiciera devorarlo en menos de tres días, y este sin duda lo consiguió.

Fue una montaña rusa de emociones: no puedes relajarte porque ya está pasando algo más. En parte me gusta eso, pero también necesitaba un poco de espacio para descansar de las emociones tan fuertes que me hizo pasar este libro: habla de la pérdida, de la falta de esperanza, del duelo… Lo maneja de una manera tan bonita que no tengo pegas con eso, que hasta se me ablandó el corazón y seguí el libro con sensaciones distintas a cómo lo comencé.

Me encanta Célie, AMO a Nicholina aunque sea tan, tan rara y escalofriante. Beau es genial y Coco es de mis favoritas. Aunque terminé por querer más a Reid de lo que pensé que haría, a pesar de su lapso odioso en el medio y Ansel… bueno, Ansel es otra historia pero fueron las partes que me hicieron lagrimear.

Las cosas que mejoraron en relación al anterior:

El worldbuilding: pero me hubiese gustado aún más profundidad, aunque eso es más preferencia personal porque de lo contrario habría un infodump tremendo.

Desarrollo de personajes: se nota muchísimo el cambio, sobre todo en tres de los personajes “secundarios” que en realidad fueron muy importantes en la historia.

La corrección: uff, vaya que tenía miedo de pagar tanto dinero y que el libro viniera tan plagado de errores como el segundo tomo. Si bien hay uno que otro escondido por ahí, es un cambio abismal, y se agradece.

En conclusión, hay escenas que creo que sobran un poco, aunque no como el anterior. Mejoró bastante y me hizo sentir ese vacío que se siente cuando se termina una saga. Con necesidad de más, pero con ese calorcito en el corazón de saber que terminó bien, y no fue un fiasco total.
