I really enjoyed these characters. I liked how Sugar respected herself and didn’t put up with a man who treated her badly, but wasn’t so head strong and stubborn that they couldn’t get past misunderstandings. I liked Z for the most part, though is bossiness and domination would not have worked for me. This story had lots of emotions, just the right amount of angst, and thankfully not a lot of games and drama.

This is a cute and fun read! I was looking for something light after my previous read and I think this might be light enough. I mean, I know it talks about Z having anxiety attacks and what I liked about this is that it's not triggering but it still sounds so real. Probably because I had those too.

I liked the fake dating trope and then there's one who is not pretending. Chef's kiss! And the smut is good too! I liked that they both have their own baggages and was able to talk it out in the end. I just wished the author delved into it more since it felt like the ending was a bit rushed. I still have minor issues but I could go past them. The epilogue is so cute though!

You already know what pulled me for this one - fake dating. It's my type!

This was a quick and easy read that came off pretty lighthearted even with the issues and conflict that they needed to hurdle. While there were topics that are typically heavy to deal with I feel like it didn't dive deep into them.

There were a few points that irked me and they are spoilers so I can't include them here (DM if you wanna know and don't care to be spoiled) and that's the reason for my rating.

Overall I would say I enjoyed Zack and Sugar dancing around each other.

I'm currently reading the second one in this series and enjoying it!
