It is written in a very romantic and poetic way. There are many characters throughout the story which I had a challenging time remembering them initially.  It was hard for me to want to read the book as I wanted to cut through the descriptive dialogue and get to what actually happened. Since it's so descriptive, not much actually happens.

Too bored to finish it. Just wasn’t interesting to me.

I found this to be a nice cozy read and a perfect palate cleanser after having just read a rather beefy novel. A little village starts up a mobile library. What’s not to like? It’s funny, heartfelt, and the characters were quite lovable, even with their flaws. There are also a lot of quotes throughout that are absolute bangers. I could post them here but then you’d be missing out on the experience and we can’t have that.

Full disclosure: half of my book club found it boring and thought the narration was too confusing

i had high hopes for this book but sadly it’s not making me want to know more about the world or the characters
