This was good (but short) - thank goodness it was free. I think the Lincoln Lawyer was a better book. Mickey Haller's demise has come too quickly. What could possibly be next for him or Bosch - or maybe Connelly is finally done with them both.

Wasn’t bad but it lacked a certain drama for me, partly because I’ve seen the Netflix show and I think it did a better job of heightening the tension and partly because the end just sort of fizzled for me. It was interesting to see this was part of the Bosch universe because obviously Netflix changed that

Only reason I don't give 5 stars is the language is a little harsh at times

Super strong sequel to The Lincoln Lawyer. Docked a bit because the Netflix version might be better.

I loved the first Mickey Haller book and the movie adaptation. When I first read The Lincoln Lawyer, I immediately went online and ordered the next three books in the series. But somehow I didn't get round to reading then until now.
The Brass Verdict is a very well-written fast-paced thriller. I don't remember the last time I finished a legal thriller in one day...probably sometime in 2005 when I first started reading John Grisham! But back to Connelly, I absolutely loved reading this book, perhaps even more than the first book.
