Of this three books, I enjoyed this one the least. It honestly just stressed me out throughout the entirety of it and the ending just left me stressed. Though I guess it made me continue reading so I could find out what happened.
Though, I have to say. I love Caldon, he's my favorite character and really the most wholesome of the bunch. Such a sweet boy.
I just felt like this one was a dark cloud over the rest of the series, it wasn't terrible but I feel like it suffered from some middle series syndrome. Still.. I recommend it, it isn't terrible and it's necessary to lead up to the next book which is in my opinion the best book of the series.
