I am 99.9% sure that I already read this book as a One Direction fanfiction on Wattpad.

It‘s absolute trash, but somehow I still liked it. It‘s good and completely stupid at the same time.
I can‘t bear the word „smirk“ anymore.

Honestly, I don‘t know how I feel :D

I’ve had this book on my TBR for so long. It’s infamous on BookTok and various FB groups, but I figured it was about time I give in to the hype.

This was a beast of a book; it wouldn’t have been an issue if I was fully immersed and invested in the book, but there were too many things I couldn’t ignore (writing style, overly animated characters, all the blood, the fact that it essentially could have been half the length and be just as good). All of that aside, I did like the character’s origin stories. My heart went out to them all for the pain they endured to become Vipers, and Roxy was the perfect addition to their family.

«I thought you would like that» NEI.

Skulle ønske jeg hadde fysisk kopi så jeg kunne brukt den til å fyre i peisen.

Spice: 10/10. I actually really liked the high level of spice in this book and this book made me realize I do enjoy reverse harem storylines. Personally, the violent kinks that the characters enjoyed didn't bother me, and if you enjoy super heavy spice, this is the book for you.

plotline: In my opinion, there were two major plotlines in this book - a romance-based one, and an action based one. The romance plot took up 80% of the book, and I felt it progressed nicely. With so many characters, I think having each chapter from a different perspective was helpful in getting a full picture.

The action plot was barely there in the first 80% of the book, and when it did become the focal point of the book, I just couldn't bring myself to finish. At that point in the book (chapter 42ish) I felt the story was really dragging, the writing was getting repetitive, and it almost felt like the author had spent so much time perfecting the first 80% of the book that the last portion just got lazy.
Character building & world-building: I think the author really did a great job bringing Deisel, Roxy, and Garrett to life. I think Ryder and Kenzo - the brothers - were too similar and I had a hard time connecting with them, but other than that I think these characters were well thought out, built up well, and I felt I could really envision them.

Writing: I go back and forth on if the writing is good or not. I think a story like this would be extremely difficult to write, so I don't feel good critiquing something I just know I could not accomplish. I think you'll have to read DOV for yourself if you want to know more about the writing style

Overall pros:- lots of spice- loveable characters - a dense book if you enjoy something longer- lots of inner dialogue, so character building and emotional connection was easy

Overall cons:- too long I couldn't finish it- the book should have been split into two- redundant writing towards the end heavy on the violence and torture
