this was a lot more intense than I was expecting but a lovely, gripping read. I loved how their stories were intertwined and the bittersweet tinge of it all

this is the ideal contemporary romance novel to me it avoids so many of the things that often turn me off of the genre and creates such good characters and arcs that even when it does fall into some cliche tropes (the main romance is pretty instalove-y) it doesn’t bother me because it feels so much more real and integrated with a full story

This book came up when I searched for a queer fiction book. Really fast paced and traumatic at the top but then DRAGGGED until the end of the book. The characters felt flat and one dimensional and I just wasn’t really engaged

Ahh so much pain in this book that sometimes it made it hard to read. But truly life hits you that way sometimes and I think the way both main characters dealt with life and its challenges was realistic. Frustrating at times but realistic.

In their universe I hope they find ways to heal together and live a happy life forever.

Side note: I want to try Sara’s cocktails
