Fun "beach read." Some people call the main character a bitch who is hard to relate to, well when you find out what's she's gone through, of course, she is supposed to be complicated and hardened. It's not really a mystery though, so yes, stop comparing it to Gone Girl. However, the story is written in a way that makes you want to keep going to find out what's next.

I could not put this book down. Witty, biting, terrifying and tragic.

It took me a bit to really get into this story but once a certain thing happened I was hook. I thought Knoll did a pretty decent job showing how an event like this may affect someone in the long term. Definitely check your triggers before reading--there are a lot that happen on page.

Where do I start? The book was okay. It took a turned that I was not expecting. It wasn't a bad book but I couldn't relate to the character, and I the reaction from the mother was unreal. A mother would never react like that. The same goes for the teacher when he hears the rumors. Or the school principal...just too many unbelievable reactions.
