Repetitive, uninspiring, got bored of it easily.

What I love about this book is that it's not just for people who consider themselves writers. It is a book for anyone who writes at all, and the personal benefits that writing brings to our lives, whether the things we write are for an audience or not.

“What we write, we remember.” The author asks, “Do you want to get to the end of your life and only remember the bad?”
This books suggests that writing allows us to metabolize and digest life, not hold things in. There is so much healing power in processing our thoughts. I enjoyed this persuasive book encouraging me of all the great reasons to WRITE.

Really great book about writing, journaling, documenting. I listened to it as an audiobook, and found myself pausing and re-listening many times. I bought a hard copy for reference!

I can't decide if I like it or not. It has many insightful thoughts in it. I think I don't like the way it was written. It is written as if the author just wrote down her own thoughts and thats it. (Nothing wrong with that of course) I think I would have liked some more variety in the way the different stories were told. I was a bit confused throughout the book and often asked myself what this has to do with anything. Also it repeats itself a lot in my opinion.
Nevertheless I actually started writing a journal which I wanted to do for years but never did. So I guess it worked in a way. :)
I think this book is better for people that actually plan on publishing something or that are stuck since that is mentioned a lot.

This was a nice read. It was a good reminder to reflect on myself. And it had some good writing activities to try out. Some parts felt more preachy than encouraging.

Chapter thirteen went against what she was standing for in this novel. However, I enjoyed my time reading this and learning how to change my life from it, more of my perspective.
I am not the same person I was before this book and I felt like that only 11 pages in for the least.
Writing is beautiful, writing is chaotic, writing brings clarity, and writing changes lives for the better, or allows you to go through the worst parts to make it better.
I have changed and I now identify as a writer, I choose now not to camouflage my love for writing about my feelings or my silly little poems.
Anyone can be writer, wonderful work.

Chapter 14
"Do you want your influence to be wide or deep?"
