this book has a rare quality to it. it is a enjoyable reading, an easy read story. in the sense that it is not pretentious about the way it portraits the moral. at the sime time, I get that feel that if I read this book every five years of my life I will always give a different meaning to what is being said and most likely enjoy every time.

This book brings me back to my childhood. It was a little slow in the beginning but it picked up about 1/3 of the way through and brought me right back to childhood.  The issue I have with it is that there are a lot of layers and themes but not enough depth to encompass all that was going on.
