lovely graphic novel about friendship and missing loved ones. made me kind of weepy. also made me want to pick up "blankets" again. you'll like it if you liked "robot dreams."

Charming and beautiful, but more than anything, heartbreaking. There are so many little moments that land exactly just so, and I love it.

No. Not the characters or the art or the writing. Or the story, what there was of it. And what there was of it was basically a downer. No great insight, no small insight. And yet it won an award and people apparently like it. Clearly I'm missing something.

Relationships are more frail than we like to admit. Healing and emotions are complex. A turtle and mouse story that may make you tear up.

Well-drawn. Kind of touching and kept my interest. This doesn't necessarily exist in the shadow of his others books, and stands alone all its own, because it's definitely a different style and quality. But, Craig Thompson's gotten better.
