I appreciated the humor, it's a very witty text. I think the concept of Victorian magic pirates is very fun but I don't think it was explored as much as it could have been. The only "pirating" they do is petty pickpocketing and quarelling within the group.
I'm a sucker for only one bed and I'm so glad it showed up

I absolutely loved this book! I loved the adventure, the comedy, the romance. Everything was spot on! The ridiculous flying houses and women pirates. I had so much fun reading this! I need to read more books like this, I was giggling like a schoolgirl the whole time. BRILLIANT, I highly recommend! The characters were so charming and the dialogue was very well written!

As a whole, I liked this except for the
interminably long bedroom scene
which is absolutely cringe-inducing on audiobook .

A prim and proper lady thief must save her overbearing aunt from a crazed pirate and his dangerously charming henchman in a tale of scoundrels, morals, and hopeless romantics.

This is by far the most hilarious romance I have had the pleasure of enjoying in a very long time! I listened to this book on audio, and must say that Elizabeth narrates the story with such precision that I doubt I would have enjoyed this book nearly as much if it weren’t for her. The Victorian themes run at 1000% and the tension between the MCs is thicker than tar. The action scenes come across more Three Stooges than Pirates of the Carrebean but it is all done with such class that you can’t fault the characters their manners!

While the writing is whitty and the pacing is damn near perfectly timed, it is a big verbose and in places dense. I didn’t mind this in the audio version but could see this being a drag on the pace if I’d read it in print. I highly recommend this one to anyone who needs a cannonball blast of laughter. Anyone who likes rom-coms, this one is for you.

Super cute, light-hearted read. Love the idea and thought it was well-executed. Neither the plot nor the characterization ventured too deep, and I was confused by certain characters' motivations at times, but the romance kept things moving.
