I thought the plot was very interesting and different and got pretty excited about it and had high hopes for the series. But then the second book went missing from the library and I found my memory of it fading.

(Catching up on reviews for books read before blogging/Goodreads days, made from notes made at the time the book was read. Written on 7/27/21.)

I think I read it in 2008 although it might have been in 2009. Anyways I remembered this book specifically and I was able to find it so I put it here. I can't remember it all but it was about different dimensions with these look alikes.

Introduce una idea interesante para luego no usarla en absoluto, meter conceptos porque sí y abandonarlos al momento, y meter tres o cuatro finales distintos como si fuese la libreta de las ideas para borradores en vez de un libro terminado.

I liked this trilogy as a kid but it's not appealing to my older self.

I found this book to be really hard to follow and rather boring. No matter how many times I tried to sit and read it, it never caught my attention.

Very suspenseful! Pay attention as you read; everything wraps through everything. Get ready for a little brain twisting!

I really liked this book. It sort of follows the logic of the movie Sliding doors. Only it has more of a parallel world than parallel lives.

In two different worlds Alaric and Naia have the same mother who was in a train accident that happened in both worlds. Alaric lost his mother and Naia didn't. Yet the event changed both of their lives. Alaric world has crumbled since the accident his dad is in a deep depression and everything is in ruins. He finds a something his mother made that looks like the house they live in, when both he and Naia are touching it at the same time they are transported into each others worlds. As we all know jumping through parallel worlds never works out how we think it will. Ultimately their desire and need to see how each there lives are playing out leads to the drastic change in both of their worlds.
