More enjoyable than the first two, but overall I think this series just isn’t for me.

The Sinner" gets 3 1/2 stars from me.
In this outing with the Boston PD Homicide unit, Det. Jane Rizzoli shares the book with Dr. Maura Isles. Several baffling murders send them searching for villains all over the world. Even tougher than the cases at hand, however, are the women's personal lives. Maura is forced to confront her ex-husband after three years of silence. And Jane is forced to confront her true feelings about FBI Special Agent Gabriel Dean.
Ms. Gerritsen wove a seamless theme throughout: the redemptive and destructive qualities of opening yourself up to "feeling". The theme seemed to pop up everywhere, but wasn't overbearing.
The only reason this book didn't rate four stars was that the author telegraphed the plot. Things lined up too easily, clues were too obvious and I always knew what would happen next. Still, it was a particularly moving story. The Rizzoli family Christmas alone is worth the read.
