An interesting novel overall of James who was murdered in his bed at an apartment complex who decided he wanted tor redeem himself of his wrong doings. He was able to communicate with a “medium” within his apartment building and traveled a a church and found his past life came to a front when attempting to right a wrong to make way to heaven when he believed he’s doomed to hell. It took a more religious turn towards the end.

Honestly, I thought this would be a mystery when I hit buy, based on the sample. Having just finished it, in the drive thru of a Chik-Fil-A nonetheless, I'm not sure what it is at all. Absolutely not what I was expecting, but maybe something I needed. It's not a fantastic little book, but it's one that I'll think about for a while.

This isn't usually the type of book that I read but I thought that I would give it a chance. I'm glad that I read it. It was very interesting. I wasn't sure where the story was going and I really enjoyed finding out. The characters were very interesting. I will be reading more from J.R. Rain.

I really enjoyed this book and the way that the author went about the Ghost perspective. I was able to pick out the plot twist fairly easily and pretty early on. I read it in one sitting. It was easy to follow and engaging, hands down the best free Amazon book I've downloaded. It blew my expectations away!

Not so terrible to make me unable to read it but terrible enough to anger me plenty of times. The writing is just so frustrating; repetitive- constantly saying the same thing over and over again. trust that your reader got that ghosts can't actually sit the first time you say it! Ugh. It also got a bit too religious for my liking. Don't think I'll be tempted to read jr rain again.

James Blakely has been dead for two years, murdered in his sleep. His ghost is confined to the apartment building where he lived and died, but he is losing his memories. Lucky for him, his daughter still lives in the apartment building, as well as a medium that connects with him.

James isn't ready to cross over; he feels there is something he needs to do before moving on. He doesn't quite know why, but he is afraid that he'll be relegated to hell unless he takes care of.... something.

An intriguing book. And yes, there's some Christianity in there, but more spiritual than secular. Mostly, it's a ghost story told from the ghost's point of view.

A ghost story, but so much more. Is there a heaven and hell? It is up to us to decide.
