I didnt like the start of this book, and halfway through I wondered which direction it would take. Having not read the blurb I suspected it would either become a who-dunnit type read, or simply be about dementia and I would cry at the end. I successfully predicted my tears in the final chapter.
I ended up enjoying this story.

A warm hearted book where God is in his heaven and love conquers all. I found it quite slow going in the first part but the second part was better and the description of a gradual slide into Dementia was handled well if too rosily.

Very different than what I'm used from this author. This was heartbreaking.

I read this most of this in one day as I just couldn't put it down. And then I cried...buckets. The characters are developed well (I disliked Suze at first but grew to like her as she changed) and because of that, you feel their joy and their pain. I will be picking up more books by this author and look forward to reading more.
