A fantastic book! It's fun and lovable, while at the same time having an actual plot. It's not too incredibly bright and happy, but still very enjoyable. Love it!

The story beats were familiar but I don’t think I’d ever read it the whole way through before. Twain’s characterization of Tom and Huck are memorable and their lasting fame in the American literary canon makes sense. The story is well paced and moves quickly, though the age of the writing comes through with uses of the n-word and a villain characterized with racist tropes. Not sure I’d want my kids to read it given how many better options are now available but I understand its legacy better now.

An entertaining and endearing read for an audience of all ages. Children can relate and say "I do that!" and adults can marvel at the charm of youth and reminiscence on their own childhoods.
