A great true spy story, mainly focusing on counterintelligence in the US via the FBI. Reads like a fiction thriller.0

Solid read. Could be improved though. The CounterIntelligence aspect is treated always like a black box, I dare say because the author feared censure if it went in too deep, or maybe he feared that the audience would not stomach a more technical book.
Structural editing was weak. The book switches between 'present' (as of 2002) and past times way to often and with no structure.

If you're interested in how the FBI and CIA work on tracking down moles and secret agents, this is a fascinating case! The author does an excellent job of providing background and explaining how the Bureau works. Pretty interesting case.

Okay, so I’ve changed the rating on this book a couple times already. I have mixed feelings! It was interesting, but some of the chapters felt out of place, and some of the information really didn’t seem necessary, and it DRAGGED. But when I finally got to the end, I was glad I read it. Idk. Maybe I’ll change the rating again later. 🙈
