The most beautifully written, horribly depressing book I have ever read. I should have stopped, the brutal abuse and trauma after trauma was not worth it for the 11 redeeming pages

The beginning was slow and the plot devices used at the end felt very contrived, but I otherwise had a good time reading this. 

I also found Large Marge to be a problematic caricature of Black women that relied on harmful stereotypes. Especially knowing that the author is white, it made me uncomfortable.
