The start of this book was so hard to get through.
It took me a long time to get through the sluggish part of the first half. The more recent chapters were so so good tho.
I'm not sure why Steve Jobs, the master of innovation and creation decided to have this guy write his biography. I found it weird and confusing with all the dates out of order, unnecessary names, and technical language. This wasn't a typical, fun easy read, kind of biography.
That being said, I liked the content and found it interesting, but I don't like the authors writing style and wish someone else would have done this for Mr. Jobs.

Für alle, die Steve Jobs verehren und das auch weiter tun wollen, ist dieses Buch nichts. In diesem Buch wird deutlich, auch wenn der Auto sich bemüht objektiv zu sein: Steve Jobs war ein Arschloch. Er hat alle, seine Familie wie auch seine Kollegen und Angestellte, wie Dreck behandelt. Bill Gates kam in diesem Buch im Gegensatz dazu wie ein Engel rüber (was mich daran erinnert, dass ich gerne mal eine Biographie über ihn lesen würde).
Was dieses Buch jedoch erklärt, ist meinen Hang zu Apple-Produkten. Ich konnte mir nie erklären, warum ich sie so mag, ohne ein wirkliches Apple-Fangirl zu sein. Habe erst nach langem Zögern die jeweiligen Pods, Macs und Phones gekauft, die ich jedoch dann mit umso mehr Begeisterung verwendet habe.
Es wird erklärt, nach welchen Prinzipien Steve Jobs Apple aufgebaut hat, und wieso die Produkte so sind wie sie sind. Auch der Rechtsstreit wird angesprochen, und wie Apple seinen Standpunkt hat.
Das Buch ist gut geschrieben, ich mag es wenn Biographien den Biographen mit einbeziehen. So wird das Buch persönlicher, und man versteht besser, wieso etwas wie geschrieben wurde.
Alles in allem empfehlenswertes Buch, um sich über diesen kontroversen Mann eine Meinung zu bilden.

FIRST LINE REVIEW: "In the early summer of 2004, I got a phone call from Steve Jobs." And in the early summer of 2018, I read this amazing biography of a most difficult subject. I wasn't particularly interested in learning about Steve Jobs, but I read it anyway because it was highly reviewed and recommended. So very glad that I did! Not only a fascinatingly complex man, but a brilliantly executed biography of all the warts, warps and wonder.

"In search of happiness" would be a better title of this interesting book.
