The 4th book in the Rachel Hatch series did not disappoint. There has been consistent character development in each book so far. You don't HAVE to read the previous books to enjoy each stand alone adventure but it helps you get to know the main characters' backstories if you do. This book revolved around the death of an Indian police chief on his reservation but continued the mystery of Hatch's father's death some 20-years earlier. I do enjoy both Rachel Hatch and Dalton Savage's characters and their budding romance. I'm taking a break from the series but do plan to return to it in the near future.

Good book but seems to be the same plot… Hatch has to save the day against bad guys, longs for Savage but can’t get the timing right
