Omg. I loved this book. I'm going to be a total devotee of Ms. Whelan because she is a perfect writer of flirting. Which is very hard! It's one of those things that's hard to describe but you know it when you're participating. And she completely nailed the cool, but not too cool, kind of teasing, but not mean or negging, just blissful little conversations. Have I ever been in love with a romance counterpart like this character? I don't think so. What a GIFT. This would have gotten 5 stars, but I felt like it lost a little steam in the last about third. But I will be watching Ms. Whelan CLOSELY for the next book drop because I am HOOKED.

Really enjoyed this audiobook. Love the voice actor from other works and this was no exception. Might be one of my favorites of the year. Heartfelt but also wholesome

Such an interesting story - great insight into the world of audiobook narration and I loved how the relationship between the love interests gradually evolved. Really enjoyable listen!

A perfect book. Peppered with moments of deep contemplation with some of the greatest wisdom I’ve read in a book, Thank you for Listening is real and raw while having the most unrealistic romance I’ve read. But it’s acknowledgement of this improbable relationship somehow makes it even more true to life. Julia Whelan is an impressive writer and an my favorite narrator. I’ve never heard someone pour as much into what she reads

I had a lot of fun with this book. It feels very Emily Henry-esque, and while it doesn't achieve the same level of quality, it still really works. I love the pastiche on the genre and the complex relationship with her family, friend, and career. I wish there was slightly more time spend with the three identities silliness, but overall lots of fun.

This book is both fun and emotional. I highly recommend it if you are in a place to where you can handle discussion on what is mentioned in the content warnings

I mostly enjoyed this book. Just a few sticking points.
- FMC was kind of a snob. I think her love for words and correcting people were to make her seem smart and literate and very into her work but honestly to me she just seemed like a jerk.
- This is just a personal thing but my unreasonable ick is musicians in romances. I don’t know why I can’t explain it in any way. I liked Nick otherwise.
I enjoyed their emails and texts and banter in general. Sometimes they got a little more poetic than I think anyone having a real life conversation would but hey it’s fiction.
