I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I knew when I heard that Emily Henry’s audiobook narrator (who does an absolutely fabulous job with Emily Henry’s books) wrote a book, I had to read it. This was in the same realm as those books, adult Romcom, but somehow completely different and original. I loved the idea of two audiobook narrators falling for each other, and getting a peek at the audiobook and acting world. I also love how complex Sewanee’s character was, accepting something that happened to her, consolidating her past and present self, and finding happiness. I related to this journey of accepting health circumstances very much, and I thought it was very moving and well written. It is also hilarious as they explore the realm of narrating (classic shirtless men cover types of) romances, and Sewanee and Nick’s banter is amazing. Overall, I thought this was a great book, definitely worth a listen or a read. (I think if you are the type of person who can listen to audiobooks, you should definitely listen to it, it makes it so much better, and having the author read it to you is amazing.)

I also loved all the insider info about the audiobook and publishing worlds! Julia Whelan's expertise in this field shows!!!
Though this book was objectively a little bit cringy at times, the pure serotonin boost I got from reading it more than made up for it. Low on the steam scale, but high emotional impact!!
