Another super sweet romance. I enjoy the mostly lack of danger in these. But there's just enough to make you wonder what's coming up to cause havoc.
I'm not enthusiastic on how Violets stalker was handled. It was a good character but how the entire situation played out was a bit more unbelievable even for a romance. Other than that, I really enjoyed this story and I'm excited to read the next one!

Story: I really enjoyed this book a lot. I did have my reserves due to a part that happened in the first book in this series that irked me very badly. I won't get into the details because it doesn't pertain to this book and it would spoil the other book for potential readers. It was really great. There was a small bit of suspense, but it wasn't major. There is a healthy bit of spice in the book as well. Let's just say that the two main characters are very attracted to each other.
Characters: Violet has been through a lot. The love of her life passed away. Her father passed away. Her brother's wife passed away. Not all at the same time, mind you. It was very close together though. I admire her courage and strength to go on. As somebody who has experienced loss, I can say that it's not an easy task. Adam is pretty amazing too. He's a great father and he's so good to his ex-wife.
Critiques: There is a conflict between Violet and her mother that's not fully resolved. At least not in my opinion. It's just kind of left.
Narration: I loved the narrators. They did a very fantastic job.
Final Thoughts: I had my reserves because of the first book, but I'm thankful to say that I was wrong about that. I really enjoyed the book very much. It was a very heated HEA read.

MAN KANN DIESEN BAND UNABHÄNGIG VON DEN ANDEREN BÜCHERN LESEN.
Nachdem seine Frau gestorben ist, kämpft Mitch sich für seine Tochter Jayda durchs Leben. Als er bei der Tanzveranstaltung seiner Schwester, als Fotograf dabei ist, begeistert ihn eine Tänzerin besonders. Page lässt beim Tanzen ihre Gefühle raus. Auch sie hat eine schmerzliche Vergangenheit und der Verlust verbindet sie. Mitch ist sofort von ihr gefesselt. Er versucht hinter die Mauern der Exfrau einer seiner Freunde vom Single Dads of Seattles Club, zu schauen. Ihre beiden Leben stehen vor Veränderung. Wird es ihm trotzdem gelingen?
Meinung: Ich finde das Cover strahlt eine schöne und vor allem süße Liebesromanze mit Familiengeschichte aus. Nachdem ich das Buch gelesen habe, muss ich aber sagen, dass das Cover und die Inhaltsangabe nicht wirklich dazu passen. Ja, es geht um Verlust, Trauer, Schmerz und die Familie, aber ab circa der Hälfte ist es eigentlich nur noch eine Erotik(liebes)geschichte. Meinen Geschmack hat es nicht getroffen. Die Szenen werden sehr ausführlich geschrieben. Die Autorin baut ziemlich viele Metaphern ein und beschreibt vieles bildlich. Nicht nur in den Sexszenen, aber dort stört es mich nicht so sehr, wie wenn ich bei einer Sexszene lesen muss, dass er „mit der Kraft eines Staubsaugers“ sie verwöhnt. Prinzipiell mag ich es, wenn Bücher insgesamt bildlich beschrieben werden und man sich alles gut vorstellen kann, aber hier war es einfach zu viel. Der Schreibstil an sich war flüssig zu lesen. Übersetzt wurde die Geschichte von Ralf Schmitz. Erzählt wird die Geschichte aus der auktorialen Sicht von Page und Mitch. Man muss die ersten beiden Bände nicht gelesen haben, um dieses Buch lesen zu können. Es könnten nur ein zwei kleine Spoiler kommen. Immerhin ist Page die Exfrau von Adam und um ihn und Mitchs Schwester Violet geht es in Band zwei. Vielleicht bekommt man da nochmal einen anderen Eindruck von Page und Mitch. Hier waren die beiden mir definitiv zu rund. Mir haben die Ecken und Kanten gefehlt. Zwar hatte Page am Anfang ein paar Mauern, aber mir persönlich wurden sie zu schnell und einfach eingerissen. Ab und zu hat mich ihr Schicksal berührt, aber mir hat da einfach die Tiefe gefehlt. Der Ansatz war auf jeden Fall da. Zu Mitch kann ich jetzt nicht besonders viel sagen. Er war mir zu perfekt. Das Einzige, was ein Tick von ihm ist, finde ich teilweise als übergriffig. Er hat immer seine Kamera dabei. Was mich daran gestört hat war, dass Page sich am Anfang damit sichtlich unwohl fühlt, aber er trotzdem immer wieder Fotos von ihr macht. Ich fand es unpassend, auch wenn er es nicht böse meint. Andere würden vielleicht sagen, dass sie es schön finden, dass er ihre Schönheit festhalten möchte und er ihr mit den Fotos beweisen will, dass sie schön ist und ihr mehr Selbstbewusstsein geben möchte.
Fazit: Mich persönlich hat das Buch enttäuscht. Ich hatte ganz andere Erwartungen. Statt einer Familiengeschichte mit Tiefe habe ich größtenteils eine Erotikgeschichte bekommen. Wer gerne eine Erotikgeschichte mit einer seichten Familiengeschichte möchte, ist hiermit gut beraten.

I really enjoyed this story. First off Mira was such a doll I absolutely adored her. Violet had such a kind soul and Adam was such a sweetheart. The story was beautiful, I loved it. Can’t wait to read Mitch’s story.

Sexy, single, DANCING Dad!
After reading Hired by the Single Dad, I hoped this book would be just as amazing. And y’all Whitley did it again! She is a single dad pro! We are honestly so dang blessed that there are eight more books coming in this series! This book was full of emotion, passion, and collision. These characters have all lost so much in their life and it’s like they are the missing pieces to different puzzles coming together for one epic romance.
Violet has been a dancer all her life and it was always a dream of hers to open her own studio. But her dream seems dull following the death of her partner. When she begins classes and meets little Mira and her sexy dad Adam, things begin to seem a bit brighter. Adam’s ex-wife left him following a devastating loss and it pushed him and Mira closer. He is such an adorable father and all the daddy/daughter moments will have you swooning!
Violet’s past keeps her from moving on and letting herself feel anything for Adam. But as time goes on she can’t help her feelings. And when they are asked to participate in a charity festival it seems she may have to do the one thing she never thought she would have to do again: dance as a duo. And holy hot damn, those dance sessions are pure fire!
This is a book that captures loss and grievance so well. These characters experience pain and the guilt of moving on from those they’ve loved so much in their life. They learn that it’s not selfish to move on and be happy. And it is such a beautiful story to see play out. After reading books 1 and 2 in this series, I can’t wait to read even more books in the Single Dads of Seattle Series! But all are standalone, so don’t be afraid to read out of order!
