Not what I was expecting, but still an easy read.  This book is more about sibling/platonic love rather than romantic love.  I read Love & Gelato and loved it so much, but Luck has way less romance.  Overall easy read and has its qualities. 3.5/5

A great book to start off the year!
Through an unforeseen series of events, Addie find herself travelling through Ireland with her brother & his online friend, along with a handy guidebook about healing your heart while in the Emerald Isle. I loved exploring Ireland with Addie & learning of her heartbreak— but not necessarily a “typical” heartbreak. I really like how this book focuses on a sibling relationship over a romantic relationship & how it goes about healing the broken bonds. It was a little slow in places & thinking back to what ACTUALLY happened in the book, it could have been 50-100 pages shorter.
I enjoyed this one overall & will definitely pick up the other “Love &…” books!

I really loved the focus of this book, it’s about love yes, but a different kind and a more realistic kind. I really liked this approach and style!

I kept getting annoyed at how the main characters brother keeps insistently pressuring her to tell their mom about the football guy chad or whatever his name was. Just freaking let her handle/process things how she wants/needs. The situation was still having an effect on her and at the same time wasn’t an urgent issue that a parent desperately needed to be involved in. (I felt like)
The climax of the book was building up to the main character finally coming clean to her mom
and it was just really pissing me off. I didn’t feel like it was a character flaw that she wanted to keep a painful experience private, and her brother threatening to tell their mom just made me want to slap him and then shake him and then scream at him to shut up.

Other than that very fun book (from what I read).  Irish guy was cool. Heartbreak hand guide lady was very very cool. Would pay for her advice and activities.

Anyways, I haven’t really read (more than a few pages of) this book in a few months so I don’t know that this is a super accurate reflection of the book. But it’s what I got away from it after finally deciding not to finish it so here you go
