I think I picked this up at the Romantic Times Convention in '08, but finally picked it up to read.

I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. It's smart, it's slapstick funny, it's really well-written, the worldbuilding and magic systems are easy to understand... it just *works*.

I'm now a fan of Stephanie Rowe, and am going to have to get as much of her backlist out of the library as I can.

When being bad is oh-so-good...!

Becca and Nick are such a dynamic couple! I read this story during any spare moment I had; I literally could not put it down. (I do suggest being current on the series' plotline just so you know all of the characters mentioned.) I love how Becca and Nick have a connection that transcends the concepts of good and evil. They work together to solve the mystery of who wants to kill the Devil, and in turn Nick's sister! But, like all of Stephanie Rowe's protagonists, the heroine is a strong leader who isn't shadowed by an equally strong yet supportive hero. I love her dynamics! Definitely a great read you won't regret!

Becca is Satan’s favoured one, his right hand woman. He also loves to torture her, as he does all his Rivka's. Satan as we know is a few sandwiches short of a picnic! His continued attempts to steal Mona highlight that! But now that he has reunited with his one true love he'll mellow - right?

Becca is sick of being a Rivka, she wants out and she is just about desperate enough to link herself to an immortal goldfish. Yes, a goldfish! But before she can outsmart Satan she is delivered back into his control. But now she has the added torture of training an apprentice. One who is like Suzie Sunshine but with a slavish devotion to Satan. Unlike Becca and her apartment, she has no buffer from what Satan MAKES her do and what she WANTS to do.

Nick is one of the few Markku left. He's on duty with Satan jnr and after an attempt is made to free him, he decides to divide and conquer and takes a chuck of the frozen ass home with him for safety. Nick's sister has managed to get herself into a jam and he needs Becca's help to kill Satan and free his sister.

What a great read. Satan is absolute nutcase. He sees torture and friendship as the same thing. I love that Becca's soul just refuses to go over the edge into the abyss. She also has the temperament of a saint cos that apprentice would be smoky hole in the floor if I had to deal with her! Nick has a great attitude and personality and he does do his best to get everyone out of the holes they have found themselves in.

I cannot wait to see what happens next!

I really loved this book! I’ve been waiting to read Becca’s story since she was first introduced. She is supposed to be the worst of the worst, but she can’t seem to be what is expected. Nick is delicious. He is so alpha and sweet. Together they head out to save the world. As always, Satan is hilarious. He steals every scene he is in. Theresa is also back and as sarcastically funny as usual. You will love this book!
