Biker blues by two Kings. Let's hope they get along better than their main characters, Vince and Race, do. A generation gap the size of the Grand Canyon. And that's not all they have to deal with. An investment in a drugs lab didn't exactly pay off and a trucker is out for blood. Their blood. Highway terror in the hot Nevada desert! I haven't read Richard Matheson's Duel, but I saw the movie numerous times. One of my favorite Spielberg flicks, still is, so this story is right up my alley. I have no idea who wrote what, but it reads like a King, it has a strong engine with the rocky father-son thing and it oozes sweat, dust, gasoline and fear. My truckphobia is acting up again.

For a buck, it was good. Nothing super special, but a quick and pretty entertaining read.

Stayed up way past my bedtime to finish this fantastic little story. I didn't see the description here on GR where it said "Inspired by Richard Matheson's "Duel"" and I'm glad I hadn't. I totally didn't know what to think or expect so the action of the story was a real surprise.
Very nice collaboration!
But then I have such love for both these writers that I'm super biased. *Shrugs*

I really didn't like this story. I expected it to be a good read becuase of the authors, however I was unpleasantly suprised of how poor this story was. I simply couldn't get into the story. The whole idea of a guy in a truck chasing some bikers could have been told a lot better in my opinion.
Although, it was a quick read and I wanted to know what happened next however, what happened next was very predictable and a huge anticlimax.
Unfortunately, this will have to be a 2*

Excellent tale from a father and son about a father and son, with a tip of the hat to Richard Matheson and Steven Spielberg.
