One of my top books for sure... this book tore my soul apart and put me back together all at the same time.
The female main character, Parvaneh, filled me with so much joy and i love her so much... she will always be one of my favorite characters of all time! i loved her wit and her heart... i also loved how she put ove in his place and forced him into her family.

this book with always be stitched into my soul and has truly changed the way i look at the world and life in general.... i cant wait to read more of this authors books!

every part of this book had my emotions flying allover the place haha i was crying one second and laughing the next...

this book is always one i will recommend to everyone and ill never stop talking about it and hyping it up!

Not sure how I happen to stumble upon this book maybe it was on one of goodreads books giveaway- anyway my library happened to have it and I read it and love it! The title should of warned that readers might fall head over heels over ove. Everytime I was reading this book I kept correcting people not love- OVE! laughs. I really enjoyed this book- it has a lot of wonderful quotes to live by, phrases to quote, and secret hopes of neighbors such as OVE. I'm giving this book 5 stars and I can see why its easily an international bestseller. I know your wondering now did she.... yes i did tear up in the end of the book, sorry can't resists ove charms.

Great--the end had me both cheering and crying within a few pages. Took me a little over 1/2 way to get into it, but once it went where it was going, it made an impact I won't forget. Can't beat that in a book.

All Ove wants is to quietly die by suicide. He misses his late wife and wants to be with her. He's been laid off from his job and there's nothing for him to keep living for, so what's the point? Except his neighbors keep getting in his way. They can't back a moving trailer in. They need a ride to the hospital after falling off a ladder. They need help rescuing a near-frozen cat in the snow.
And slowly life regains some color, some meaning. Slowly he can't keep being the ornery, cantankerous old man next door. It could be very twee but manages to avoid it, and just be growth and change. It's about connections and found families.

Loved this book - wonderful narration and a nice story line. I almost didn't read this one, but my daughter compared it to the movie "Up", which I loved, so I took the bait. It was a great listen, well worth the time.

This book was so funny for me to read starting out. My husband, 27 years old, reminds me so much of Ove. Reading this was like reading about my future husband. With that, I knew where this was going because as gruff as my husband is, I know his heart. And with that - such a pure story of love and hardship and friendship.
