My Murder has suuuuch an interesting premise! Lou was murdered but has been brought back to life by a government project. When she “comes back,” Lou struggles to get back to her regular work and family life. While meeting up with other returned victims, questions come up about her murder. The entire story was a fun thought exercise and I really enjoyed it until the end. I just didn’t like the way it all wrapped up and it left me with more questions. But I still am glad I read it because it was so interesting and different!

Fast-paced, thoughtful, and well-written future dystopia/murder mystery. I greatly enjoyed this one--and absolutely did not predict the ending.

I was very intrigued by the premise of this book - a woman trying to solve her own murder after she’s brought back to life by a government cloning commission - but it didn’t quite work for me. I think this ended up being too sci-fi, not enough murder mystery/thriller, and that’s where the disconnect was. I’m giving it three stars because I actually was pretty hooked to the story and enjoyed the authors’ writing. I’d definitely read something else by her, because I found it to be fast paced and a style that jives with me. The ending was super chaotic which removed some of the enjoyment for me - I wish it would have been wrapped up in a more thoughtful way, and instead it felt a bit like a roller coaster careening down a mountain. She’d done a really good job setting things up, but I finished the book and my first thought was “what the heck did I just read?” Maybe that’s what she was going for, in which case, mission accomplished!
