3.9 AVERAGE

I can't just stop listening to this series now that I'm committed to re-reading it. I wish I could, I do, but here I am.

And thankfully this book was much better than Avalon's, I'm shocked to say.

While I was probably the biggest hater in the Jericho hate-club during Eden's story, this book redeemed him in my eyes. I liked Olivia, I liked them together. And you know what the cutest part of it was - which wasn't even mentioned?! - Olivia being a chef fits so perfectly with Jericho who always liked to cook for everyone. *Chef's kiss* for real this time.

But you know, outside of the romance, the Terletov storyline just pissed me off. This is a guy who Eden called a "PG-13 Villain." I just simply don't believe the evil depths he's gone too, and frankly, I didn't care. There was barely any mention of the suffering of immortals in this book, especially the shapeshifters, just weird threats about the suffering, and I just forgot to care. I was just focused on when Jericho and Olivia would be back together again. Oops. The "we have to keep making a worse and worse villain" pipeline in long spinoff series just doesn't work for me.

I can not believe that it took me almost a month to get through this book! I loved and flew through the other books in this series, which is why I thought this would be a quick read. I have been in somewhat of a reading slump the last few weeks. I am not sure the cause. I was flying through a book in about 3-5 days but recently I haven't been able to actually get into any of the books I'm reading.

At the beginning, this book did not hold my interest. I would read 10 pages here and 20 pages there but that was about it. I did enjoy it and I did end up liking it. I felt that I couldn't connect to the characters or the story for the first half of the book. I found it boring with the back and fourth between Jericho and Olivia. It was boring. Once we got out of the Citadel is when it got interesting.

Because it took me so long to actually get into this book, I am very hesitant to go any further in this series. Maybe I'll give the next book a try someday but not anytime in the near future.

And another new perspective/focus. Preferred to the previous one, so hoping it was just a blip

So happy to see Jericho gets his happily ever after. He’s been through a lot in the previous series and I’m happy to finally see him on top. This is a story about loneliness on both Olivia and Jericho part. In the end it was more than magic that United them but love. Friendship was huge in this book as well. I loved that everyone respected and supported Jericho through it all.

Much batter than the last two installments and Olivia is not nearly as much of a whiner as Eden, so points for a much more likable fmc.

looooooooved this book!

The Relentless Warrior was such a good audio book! I am so happy that it was all about my baby Jericho and him finally moving on from Eden. He need his own happiness and I'm so freaking happy right now. So freaking happy that I'm already listening to the next audio.

Jericho deserved this and so much more. It sucks that his dad was such a douche though. However his little love interest was utterly adorable. I liked this relationship so much because it was drawn out, Nothing happened so quickly, like in Avalon's book. There was a little bit of drama and some mystery but.. it definitely ended up being predictable.

The reappearing villains were okay - they stepped up their game at least. Yet, I still knew that in the end everyone was going to be safe. I'm so happy that lilly was back and safe now - but I have no idea how much torturing she was put through. All of these characters are growing more on me and they are definitely becoming stronger together as well. I love this little group. Now I just need Seraphina and Sebastian back together because their chemistry is so freaking good!!

Overall, this book was good. Like really good and I am so happy that this series was brought to my attention. I can't wait to see how the next book will go.

Jericho was my favorite of the whole cast of characters so I was obsessed with this one
