Interesting but somewhat underwhelming. The write-up makes it sounds like organized crime is major theme. Unless I missed something, there was not so much of that. A tough childhood, yes. An overly long and detailed chapter on fishing off the New Jersey coast- I had to skip through that. I was happy for Dan when he reached an age where he was able to begin standing up to his father. That's when his total transformation began which was satisfying to follow. A very abrupt ending.
