Candace West has done it again! Her stories weave their way around and into my heart and soul. I absolutely loved this book. I sat down to read the beginning and ended up reading the whole thing. I really felt for Aynsley and enjoyed her character. And all the heart eyes for Nolan. He is everything a hero should be. The rest of the characters are perfect in their roles as well. I am so glad this is the beginning of a series because one book is definitely not enough!

Through the Lettered Veil is simply wonderful.

Excellent story with tension—I just wanted to keep reading!! I appreciated the messages of self-acceptance, standing up against racial violence…but it was pretty violent. I believe God calls us to resist violence not with violence but through peaceful means/methods…
