clary and jace stop passionately making out and lusting after each other challenge. I’m their #1 hater. srry but they literally discussed running away to be a couple and I don’t care if they’re not actually siblings BC THEY DONT KNOW THAT - i gag

(Also they’ve known each other for like 1 month and the majority of the time have thought they’re siblings pls someone save me from myself 😭)

Y me dicen que lo guay empieza a partir del tercer libro... Creo que voy a tardar en superar el final y el hecho de que mi corason is aching. #PonUnJaceEnTuVida. 9,5/10

Not sure what I was in when I rated this 5 stars in my teens😭 ASAB

Spoiler they kiss MULTIPLE TIMES while they think they’re siblings. I genuinely do not care the reason Cassandra u are a weirdo

I still want to read the next and see what happens but I really don't think anything happened in this book.. and I really don't like Simon, I think he's pointless. But yeah nothing happened, could have probably skipped to the 3rd book and with maybe a snippet of information from this one and still understand what's happening.

i am SO angry. yes, this book is better than the first but the ending? the way clary acts? what jace does???? bro wtf

first: malec is just 😍 i just love the little things about alec and magnus, even though it appears in short moments, its great

second: really? in the beginning of the epilogue clary is acting like everything is still normal with her and simon and they are still together. really????? she admits she likes jace more than she should and that she wishes she could love simon like that in the middle of the book but then she is kissing simon in the end??? girl, are stupid?! and more than that: she isn’t nice. she continues in a romantic relationship with simon knowing she doesn’t love him. if simon hadn’t been the smart one and called it off, she would be not only making herslef suffer, but making him suffer and would have prevented simon from finding someone that he could love and that could love him back. clary, not nice. at all.

third: again, is she stupid? i thought i would be mad at jace in the end after he says he was going to stop being egoistic and “forcing his feelings on her” and was going to be just a brother to her. but then i realized that even tough this characters are really really stupid and doesn’t seem to understand and interpret emotions and actions from others (its not that hard, honestly), jace is right. he doesn’t seem to get that she loves him, but he is doing something nice and selfless, so i agree. and now i think i like him (crazy, right?).
and i know the mortal instruments is inspired on harry potter and clary is supposed to be ginny SO WHERE IS GINNYS COURAGE? ginny says what she thinks, goes for what she wants. clary just... stands there. and i get she is thrown off after he says that, but if she had said what she wanted, i REALLY doubt jace wouldn’t kiss her like he was dying. so again: she. is. stupid.
she goes on and on to luke that he should have told her mother he loved and blablabla but she doesn’t do the same??? clary please just stfu

fourth: although i am pretty mad at her, her power (its kind of a power, right?) is so cool!!! i already knew she could do it, but i didn’t remember the little things or how she did it first to test on alecs arm and he almost told his parents about magnus (so close!)

i am complaining a lot BUT its only because i’m really invested on the story and the characters. and i honestly finished this book 10 minutes ago, so my feelings are all over the place now. i think the way things are going, i will give one of the tmi books 5 stars! yay!

I guess this is kind of like reading smut? I don’t know? Like I don’t really hate it because it’s bad in a sort of entertaining way, but I still kind of hate it because WOW the incest and the lazy writing and the fact that it’s a little too close to Fifty Shades and Twilight for my taste.

There’s no reason or rhyme to it, but I’ll probably read the next one at some point.
