Everyone made such stupid decisions all the time. It felt unrealistic compared to the first book. Also, the main character knew herself too well and said why she was doing things in too succinct a way- I'm not going to do what you say because I've been told all my life what to do. But doesn't really show the character growth to get to that point. But typical YA and I do still want another book.

This sequel was well worth the wait. While the novel was more political based, I LOVED everything about it. Instead of seeming like a sequel, it was as if Ink Mistress and Of Fire and Stars had a love child, tossed in some mind blowing twists and just for good measure throws your heart into a burning fire. **************** FULL Review to come, but seriously - go buy the book. It comes out on the 13th (I believe) and it's worth every single moment spent reading it.

In some ways I liked it better than the first, in others I didn't. Overall it was a good book, but I felt like some of the plot points were a bit weak. The characters are definitely the highlight, and there are several of the background characters that I'd love to get to know better.
