This one has been on my TBR forever.  It was a quaint, little cozy, featuring puns, books, and tea.  These are my favorite things.

If you are looking for your next cozy fantasy, this could be it.  It explores the trials of an existing relationship while starting a business in a world with dragons.

Another book I read to have a light distraction from the chaos of moving and when I didn't have the capacity to read anything serious. This one however, was phenomenal, I love reading cozy queer fiction, especially when it features so many ridiculous lesbian tropes that feel hilarious because in all of the queer relationships around me, I get to see these things for real, including in my own. I spent the stressful parts not too stressed because I imagined I knew I was safe in the cozy atmosphere. Which is such a nice treat. The characters were well developed and fun and interesting and the whole thing was sprinkled with such toe curling cuteness that I was taken so far from where I was in the real world and into the flirtations of mages. Cannot wait to read the next book.

Library loan expired and I could not renew due to other reserves.
I don’t think I’ll return to this one, I wasn’t engaged. I felt like the same conversations were being repeated over and over in (mostly) different settings.

Picked this up on a whim thanks to the cute cover. It was...fine. Maybe it's me. I don't always love lesbian romance, and cozy doesn't always do it for me. This just felt confusing. I wasn't sure if I was in a high-stakes fantasy novel or a low-stakes cozy read. I felt like not enough time was spent establishing the cozy portions of the book. I did love the detailed relationship and nuanced dynamics between the two main characters, and had a good time with some of the plot machinations, like manipulating the Queen. However, it all just felt too easy and everything fell into place without any real conflict. This just didn't hit for me.
Side note - could be the fact that I have two books I'm dying to read on my TBR so this became a slog because I wanted to get to those?
