”There is never a second opportunity to make a first impression.”

The more books I read from this series the more boring it gets. This is the third book I’m reading and I feel like the lack of plot in this book and The Last Wish makes the book worse. It was a fun concept in the beginning but after a while when you have read two full books of this kind and barely get any type of character development or background information it just gets boring. And the way we don’t get to follow the character’s relationships is also something I find a bit strange. I mean I would have loved to see Geralt and Yennifer’s relationship develop in this book since the last book ended in such an abrupt way, but instead we are just thrown into the story and not only did we skip the entire story between them but we are also dropped right into some drama. We are given a few short stories in each book which in itself is a fun concept but you still have to give the readers something to like about the characters because right know I feel like I know nothing about either of them. Blood of Elves was better in a sense because it actually had a plot and there was a point in the story, there wasn’t just all these small stories.
