Exploring the connection between stories, performative arts, spirituality and the fine line between reality and hallucination, this novel has a great atmosphere. However the pacing is a bit strange, it starts so slow, that we do not have any time to get to know the house and the characters better. Because of the pacing issue the ending is too much too soon, it feels like if the middle of the novel is missing.

This felt like I was watching The Haunting of Hill House for the first time again. It has the same chilling sense of dread that creeps over you.
