Another satisfying read from Mr Ashforth.
A good story with a semi-twist in the tale but what really shines through in Ashforth's writing is his sense of place. I could feel the sun on my face in Verona and could smell the dank mossy woods back home.
I wish this author would write a longer tale.

I've tried dabbling in gothic novels, only to be disappointed. This one, while short is quite good. It left me satisfied with the dark vibe. I wouldn't call it spooky, but enjoyable.
It's just under 2 hours, so not a lot of time to develop and fully develop characters, and expect full arcs to take place, but in the span of time allotted, I was satisfied.

Nice short listen to finish my night at work. Very creepy with an interesting twist.
