Still that same arc. Still have yet to read a volume of this arc that hasn’t made me cry. Still not okay.

There’s literally so freaking much happening in this volume and I am just so stressed. I literally went in like “I don’t plan on finishing it in one sitting, unless it’s super crazy” WELL GUESS WHAT?! So Gigantomachia is literally barreling thru destroying things stopping at nothing to get to Shiggy and dozens of pros are not doing well at stopping them. Also the League of Villains is going on a ride on his back (because Shiggy loves his little misfit gang and doesn’t care about the res). Also at they cut to Dabi at one point straight up smiling the biggest smile I’ve ever seen from him lolol that psycho is living his best life. So Midnight calls to Yaoyorozu because she’s the smartest one and best leader of our kiddos saying brute force won’t work, we gotta knock him out. So all my babies rush in. And of course my angel Kirishima got the job done, I’m literally so proud of him I could cry…and did. Though as of now the dude still hasn’t passed out so hoping it worked.

Aizawa is literally doing everything in his power to keep from blinking so Bakugo and Deku jump in to help their teacher. It’s so fucking heartwarming. But Shiggy has All for One’s powers and can regenerate so even with his decay nullified, he’s still powerful as fuck so quite an issue. ALSO he grabs Gran Torino’s leg breaking it and smashes the shit out of him! I hope he’s not dead but I trust nothing at this point. But it cuts to Nana Shimura abandoning her child in hopes that All for One wouldn’t find him (we all know how that turned out…) and Gran Torino questions if they made the fight call, fucking devastating. Also I’ve questioned it for awhile, but were he and Nana together? They’re a panel of Gran Torino holding her close as she bawled and he looked younger, I’m about it. But he’s only ever referred to her as his friend so unsure. Also Shiggy hears all kinds of voices in his head, mainly All for One’s voice which is interesting and it seems to just annoy him, intrigued to see how that plays out.

ALSO this fucker has one of the quirk destroying bullets n OF COURSE he managed to shoot one at Eraser who straight up CHOPS OFF HIS LEG!!! I FUCKING SCREAMED!!!! We don’t know if it worked or if that were enough to prevent the destruction because he passed out. He had flashes to Eri and my tears continued. PROTECT AIZAWA AT ALL COSTS. And god bless, this is when Deku manifests Nana’s quirk of float to save everyone from decay and uses blackwhip to keep Shiggy in the air. I. AM. STRESSSSSSEEEDDDD!!!

Also my Shoto baby showed up with reinforcements like the angel he is including cooling down his father so he can fight on (also when Endeavor first showed up he immediately feared Shoto would be there because the other boys were…he does know his boy). Naturally my Bakugo is only concerned about Deku and my heart warms so much. We get a cut scene to All Might gathering Sero, Uraraka, and Asui to help train Deku in blackwhip (and for when float will emerge, not that he tells the others). Also he’d been playing “catch the Kaachan” which is incredible. Bakugo, rightfully so, tells All Might they can’t keep this hidden forever. But the GROWTH this baby boy has gone through!!! He admitted to bullying him because he couldn’t handle his own insecurities and didn’t understand how easily Deku put anyone before himself. And of course that helping him train is his own way to atone. LITERALLY SO FUCKING PROUD!!! Back at the battle he’s in awe and terrified for Deku literally destroying himself again to fight Shigaraki, but knows his limitations and that he cannot keep this up. And then the beautiful leader he is comes up with a plan to fly up with Endeavor and Shoto to deal a massive blow to Shiggy. Somehow Shiggy is still alive?! And I can’t quite tell what he does in his final blow of this volume but Bakugo JUMPS IN FRONT OF DEKU!!! He says his body just moved because he loves him so much (despite what he says) and that’s how this freaking volume ends and I AM NOT OK!!!!! THIS ARC IS NOT OK I AM UNWELL!!!!!!

Horikoshi ended saying next volume is a turning point for the story and that does not help my stress. This series is gonna turn me gray, I swear…

Another cliffhanger!?!

Seriously, though, this series has developed so well. I cannot believe how much I'm loving Bakugo's story, after being the bully we were introduced to in the beginning, we're finally getting to see behind the bluster.

Once this current story line resolves I have no idea how this story can top such a big fight, but I also don't want it to end. Still, the epic scale of this battle kind of ensures that there are going to have to be several more issues to finish the fight and wrap up all the loose ends.
