I haven’t read a picture book in a very long time, but I had to check this one out. I’ve been a massive Criminal Minds fan since I was around 12 or 13-years-old and I love pretty much everything that Matthew Gray Gubler does. A picture book about a weird little monster learning to accept himself and make friends seemed right on brand for him. Regardless of if you’re a kid, a parent, or anybody else, this story carries the perfect message for any age group. Sometimes we forget that everyone else is just as weird as we are.

It's fine? I thought it was average. I couldn't figure out how a weird book like this got published by RH and then I saw at the end it was written/drawn by an actor. I hope he had a good time writing this, I guess?

My only wish is that the final chapter had a bit more positive language. That is the one thing stopping this from being a four star in my opinion.
