This was very strange. Not sure I'll pick up the next one.

This was definately what I needed, some light relief from the grind of reading my current book (the Apostle Paul is an interesting subject but the writer's a little hard work).
Back to Black Science though. This is an interesting story and I do want to read more but it's all a little hectic and feels rushed rather than dynamic. The art is a bit old school but OK for that as this does feel like a bit of a boys own sort of story.
Lots of questions to be answered but there are other stories out there I want to read more at the moment.

The art is fantastic but the story jumped around a lot so it was a little hard to follow. Still intrigued and enjoyed it.

Great art, cool premise, too much action and not pulled into characters.

Despite a very rushed beginning and some really unlikeable characters, this turned into a fun read. Tons of twists and turns at breakneck speed- I’m eager to read the next volume.

I agree with the reviewer who said the story was both rushed and sluggish. The quick jumps from layer to layer of the eververse are probably intentionally disjointed, but that doesn't make it any easier to read or enjoy. You barely get a feel for what's going on before the next harried battle. The character development is almost nil. I probably won't be picking up the next volume.

In summary: Scientists make a inter-dimensional glitch, the crew is zapped to different worlds at random intervals, and somebody is trying to kill somebody for vengeance and stuff.

Eh. There was a lot of "I'm a manly Man off to do the Manly Things!" and a lot of scenes I found myself rolling my eyes to. Not a bad comic, but not my favorite. It's a lot like a video game, in that there are brief action sequences in which the reader is not allowed to digest, random spawning of character and no context given to the struggles of whoever is narrating (making it hard to care), and pretty useless female characters that just sort of stand around and either help things or make things worse.

That said, the art is great and the story is interesting. Not a total waste of time.

This felt like a darker version of Stargate.
