Really enjoyed the first half but started losing interest in the story as nothing was really happening after that and the relationship between them didn't seem to be progressing much. The ending annoyed me as well but the story is intriguing so I might give the second book a go to see which direction this is taking.

It took me almost 3 months to get thru 35%. I wasn’t a fan of the writing style and found the characters hard to like or even tolerate.

WHAT I LIKED:
This wasn’t really what I expected. When I read “Bone Witch” I thought of something creepy, almost curse like. But this was not that, to my pleasant surprise. The way her readings are done with such care, and how she does actually help people with her bones was perfect!! I couldn’t think of a better way to deliver it at all. She is also incredibly witty and I love her humour in the most serious of times. I can’t wait for more of this story!

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:
The only thing that bothers me in this book is that nothing was resolved.. usually there is some kind of resolve or even a partial resolve that leads you into the next book.. this one just left me with a WTH kind of feeling which coincidentally makes me want to read the next book for answers. Also.. the ending(!!).. Really.. I was just starting to like him…

OVERALL / RECOMMENDATIONS:
This is probably one of the best witch books I’ve read so far. I am really enjoying the series so far and recommend it to anyone who loves creepy witchy stories as well.
