This book picked up where the first book left off. I liked this book, but definitely not as much as the first.
I am still looking forward to picking up the next book when it comes out (not sure if it continues this story line or not but still looking forward to more chick lit from this author).

A great beach read. Parts of it made me laugh out loud. I wonder if I missed things by not reading the first book. I like the ending, not all sweetly packaged. It was fun and if you are looking for a light summer read, I recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I'm happy to report that the main character (Charlie) got an iPhone and quit smoking. If that doesn't make sense, you'll have to read my review of the first book, [b:A Total Waste of Makeup|342667|A Total Waste of Makeup|Kim Gruenenfelder|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1173899385s/342667.jpg|333021]. This book was entertaining and fun!

Okay this started out a bit funny but then it was page after page of women hating on themselves and body shaming and men being stereotypically obnoxious. The friends weren't supportive and the toxic Hollywood environment was unfortunate.

Cute, funny, made me giggle a lot. Definitely chick lit, nothing deep and heavy. Made for good summer reading!

Typically I detest chick-lit because it always lacks substance. The main character always wants to be more mentally developed than the author allows, but it's a chick-lit book and alas the character is frozen in this world of frivolity, immorality and superficiality.
Not much of a change in [b:Misery Loves Cabernet|6266785|Misery Loves Cabernet|Kim Gruenenfelder|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1235956655s/6266785.jpg|6450049], but I didn't detest it as much as I'd anticipated! The main character had a bit more depth to her than most chick-lit characters do, allowing for the read to feel less stupid. I can't stand reading a book that makes me feel stupider by the word. Her atrocious-yet-hilarious comrades add for great humor check points throughout. I was impressed with [a:Kim Gruenenfelder|196535|Kim Gruenenfelder|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1241299858p2/196535.jpg]'s writing abilities. She didn't allow the genre to seize her talent. Instead, she flourished within it beautifully.
Even though this didn't make me a believer (that chick-lit can, indeed, be good to read) I wouldn't NOT recommend this book. It's an easy, fast and refreshing summer kind of read for the bitter girl. I wouldn't mind picking up the sequel. Thank you, Kim, for creating a chick-lit character that still bites for a reader's curiosity.

I loved this book even more than the first one! Charlie is great! Her family is insane, her boss is a handful, and her love-life is mediocre at best. This book will have you laughing and in the next moment a little sad. Great book!

One of the funniest books I've read that hasn't been written by a comedian.
I laughed out loud a lot reading this book.
