Aside from wanting something sweet so bad I nearly killed someone, I figured out the murderer before the murder even happened. Ditto the why. Sadly this left me with all the time in the world to wonder how it is that Hannah forgives Mike so easily his wandering eye (as well as other bits of his anatomy) but Norman isn't entitled to a couple of 'off' days.

Friggin' cliff-hanger. Bah.

I enjoyed reading this. The mystery of who did it was very predictable to me, but it had a ton of great recipes that I'm eager to try. I've already done 2 and the Vanilla Crack was fabulous.

I read this book to fulfill the Minnesota requirement for the Read the USA Challenge for one of my Goodreads groups. The author must be doing something right--this is the 13th book in the series. But, unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The plot was predictable. I knew who was going to be murdered when the character first appeared in the plot. Unfortunately, he wasn't killed for at least another 90 pages. I also figured out the killer and the reason why before half of the book was over. On the plus side, there were recipes included in the book and there was one that looked wonderful for easy apple turnovers. I'll be trying that one soon. Some of the other recipes looked equally good, but not good enough to make read another book by this author any time soon.

2 stars. The most boring book in the series. The series is already not very good but they’re fun in their ridiculousness but this one was more of a cookbook with a story thrown in between recipes which I was not impressed by. Thirteen books in and Hannah still hasn’t made a decision with this damn love triangle between her, Norm, and Mike. It’s beyond over done now. I didn’t care about the murder, Hannah was extra annoying and it was all just so damn boring.

It's weird, I love cozy mysteries but they completely annoy me too! Hannah needs to stop correcting everyone's grammar.  She needs to pick a man and make a choice. Quit leading the most eligible bachelors in town on! Pick a path and travel down it.
