In my opinion, this has to be the best Stephen King book I have ever read.

It had it all! Supernatural, romance, sadness, mystery, thriller, comedy (“lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!”).

Definitely my number one recommendation the next time someone asks for one.

This is probably the most focused novel I've read my Stephen King. The writing is tight, the prose is King, and the dialogue begins choppy, but comes back to read like real life conversations were transcribed for paper. The Dead Zone fits nicely in my top 10 favorite Stephen King novels. I prefer his novels written without outlines. Therefore the focused nature of The Dead Zone holds it back from the upper echelon of my favorite books written by King.

I'd give it five if I would just know what happened to Stillson!
