Skoulding plays with language and music so well that I had to go back over and read some of the poems. I annotated about 20 of them which I haven't done in a while (I haven't read enough poetry lately) but some of them washed over me and didn't have any impact. I think I will remember her crafting of the poems rather than the poems themselves once I step away and return to this collection.
