Not my cup of tea.

I'm all for jerky, alpha male. BUT how he acted NO just NO.

I felt we needed a little more going into it. I mean come on would you do THAT if your husband TOLD you to? I sure as heck wouldn't without a fight or talk before hand. That man be NUTS!

Weeks had me on the edge of my seat as I alternated between feelings of fear and excitement for April. From the beginning I felt a sense of fear, uncertainty, and trepidation. As soon as I expected something awful to happen, something positive would happen instead. However, the positives were too good to be true, and you know what they say about things that are too good to be true...

From the beginning, you wonder if her husband is abusive from the way she responds to him. As the story progresses, his demeanor fluctuates and her responses change. April's husband becomes a partner and suddenly their life completely changes. Suddenly they are both on a power trip. The partner's are very interested in April, and we know something is going to happen there, as well as suspect things are happening with April's husband and the partner's wives.

The ending was abrupt, not in a bad way, but in an "I want more!" way. What happens with her kids being sent off to boarding school? What happens with the partners and April? What role do the other wives play? How does April's life change now? 100 pages went too quickly! Must read part 2!!!!

I don't know what it is about this author and writing weak woman who are so pathetic and convince themselves they like the degrading situation they're in, but it makes me not want to continue reading. the only reason why I'm not too upset about getting this book is because it was free. if I actually paid money for this, I'd demand a refund
